Oh how I wish my story was a fairy tale, sometimes I wish it was.
I am orginally from Guyana, South America the land of many waters. Although my parents was there for us and a part of my life I grew up with my grandmother for most of my childhood. My parents left Guyana for the US when I was ten years old. I felt like most of my life before that, my parents were never around. They were busy building the perfect life, working hard and were never at home. We spent most of that life between grandparents and our live-in maid/babysitter. My mom worked as a bank manager at the repitable bank in Guyana, the Barcleys Bank. My dad was a businessman doing whatever he did. Everything was going well in our lives, even though our parents were hardly around we were comfortable and happy. There were also special memories of my parents, Christmas were the best. I swear my father was excited about Christmas as much as we were, he was like a child. My dad also love to take us out on day trips, to the rural areas of Guyana, to the beaches or sporting events such as horse or car racing. Before my tenth birthday my life seems wonderful. This all change after my parents decided to give up everything and move us on a long vacation to Barbados.
