It's Sunday!!!

It's Sunday, I usually call Sunday my lazy day... it's a day where I laze around doing nothing, if I'm in New York City at my cousin's I'm usually listening to dancehall music and dancing with her, breakfast would probably be around 1pm consisting of saltfish and bakes. When I am home I'm in bed all day, watching TV and catching up with others on the phone. Not getting out of our PJs until the sun goes down.

BUT NOT TODAY... today I have so much school work to do it is unbelievable... I had someone coming to see the 2nd floor apartment which is up for rent, so I had a bath and got dressed. I did breakfast for Nate (my son) and I got online and worked on each class.

I took a break to show the apartment, then I took Nate for a treat to KFC... I felt like eating KFC since Thursday I guess because I haven't been able to eat a proper meal since then... KFC was horrible, it was too salted and did not taste like KFC back in Guyana. So I wasted the last bit of money I have.

I have to think of what I want this blog to be about, but there is nothing going on in my life to share with others... this week I will decided!

"Ent this fo real"

Well today I have been challenged with the task of setting up a blog for my class and here I am pondering what should I write about or whether I should give up on this task of writing and doing assignments and head to New Jersey to enjoy another Guyanese birthday party.

I have five classes and three weeks of assignments and discussions to catch up on, never before have I been so late in my classes but I am trying my best to get it all completed. I'm also recovering from oral surgery so even if I do go I wouldn't be able to consume alcohol or enjoy any of the Guyanese food that is always present at these parties. So there, I am going to spend balance of my weekend catching up in front of my laptop, the television and in my bed... there will always be another party.

So here goes.... I have to write on three televsion shows I've watched, A informal proposal and a paper on what I expect to achieve with my Cultural Studies degree. I'm just brainstorming my ideas.
